Why am I taking this class? I am taking this class because I need to know more about what is available to me and my students. A class forces me to work on this instead of just saying "I'll do it someday... or I should do this!"
What do I hope to learn? I hope to learn a few new tools to implement new activities that are more current that what I currently use. When someone talks about 2.0 web tools I will know what they are talking about!
My current level of technology? I use technology every day in some way BUT I do not always know what I am doing! I sometimes am fearless, because I will try anything!
What tools do I currently use? I use a SMART Board with the SMART software, moodle, prezi, clickers, google docs.
Welcome, Laura. Don't worry, sometimes I don't know what I'm doing either! Just be curious and use this class to explore. I promise, you'll be glad didn't put it off until "someday."
ReplyDeleteI admire the way you plunge in there and try new things. I hope to follow your example. I really hope to put the new classroom set of Ipads to good use in my classroom next year. I want to have my students sharing videos and voice presentations this year rather than just written blog posts.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit, I'm a creeper.... My daughter Siri was in your Spanish 2 class last year and LOVED it so much. She has made us gallo pinto multiple times (even today). She also speaks Spanish to us all the time and we don't know what she is saying (we all took German!). Anyway, just wanted to "follow" you to see how you HS teachers apply Web 2.0 (vs. those of us in elementary). THANKS for being so great for my Siri!
